There is no place like home.  When I went back home to Miami for my high school reunion, I saw so many classmates. We just naturally picked up where we left off in our friendships.

The Olympics is still on our minds, because Carmen Jackson, the coach of Brianna Rollins, who won a gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles for this year’s USA Olympic track and field team, is a graduate of our high school!

Memories of my being on the high school track team and competing in two Junior Olympics, representing in the high jump, came flooding back to me again.
