A fall event for beauty reporters hosted by Beauty Press ventured into a variety of solutions that will interest both the mainstream consumer and the professional. Brands included hand and foot moisturizers from Chicago, makeup from Istanbul, skincare and personal deodorizers from Hokkaido, scalp treatment from Florida, shampoo from Newport Beach and more. Doctors made an appearance to introduce their own new state–of–the–art scalp solutions and intimate care items. An old  and familiar women’s care line introduced new products which were highlighted elegantly and discreetly. This event took a more personal and healthy twist.

mirai01-08com-mirai-clinical-deodorizing-hair-brush-linerMIRAI CLINICAL: Mirai is Japanese for future. The products of this California–based company use no chemicals that interfere with the presence of natural oils, leaving the skin more moisturized. Mirai’s eye cream contains cherry blossom extract. The company also uses persimmon as a natural deodorant. Persimmon is a key ingredient in Mirai products for the aging population that produce a type of body odor — nonenal — that is different from the younger population. Their Purifying Body Spritzer contains persimmon fruit extract and green tea extract. Mirai offers make-your-own paper facial mask kits. After covering the face in the face cream of choice, moisten Mirai’s special chemical free paper made from natural cotton and place the sheets on top of the skin. General consumer paper masks contain preservatives in the paper itself. The cotton can even be used as a natural pantyliner, since commercial pantyliners contain chemical preservatives. Another product that Mirai offers is a Deodorized Hairbrush Liner (pictured) with Japanese Persimmon. This natural paper is pushed down through the brush bristles and absorb excess moisture and dirt in the hair. Mirai’s Hairbrush Liners can be used as an alternative to chemical-laden dry shampoo. The paper also prevents static and the persimmon extract deodorizes the hair naturally. Beautiful logo of a Japanese butterfly with a kimono pattern. MiraiClinical.com @MiraiClinical

se01-03com-summer-s-eve-16ct-ss-cloth-and-foilSUMMER’S EVE: has a new line of personal cleansers that are gentle enough to be used all over the whole body. A new subtle fragrance for its wash has been introduced: Aloe Love. There is also a Nighttime Line that is creamier and more luxurious than their established products. The Nighttime Line also has a new fragrance: Lavender. Summer’s Eve representatives state that there is much misinformation out there as to what to use and not use in the sensitive areas. Regular soaps’ harsh chemicals are too drying and could cause irritation and rash. Strong fragrance can cause the same side–effects. Soap that contains moisturizers may be good for the face and rest of the body but can leave a film in personal areas. Also new: Summer’s Eve Cleansing Cloths (pictured), convenient for on-the-go freshness. Very useful for the final touch during that time–of–the–month. SummersEve.com @SummersEve

prx001-04com-privaterx-cooling-padsPRIVATE Rx: Along the theme of ensuring women’s healthy intimate areas, Dr. Ronald D. Blatt, FACOG has created a line of products that addresses dryness and irritation. The New York–based gynecologist and reconstructive surgeon started from scratch with a chemist to formulate solutions due to dryness from decreased estrogen and thinner tissue due to hormonal changes like menopause, childbirth, and side effects of chemotherapy. There is a cream for the external area for everyday use that replaces depleted collagen as well as an internal lubricant to apply every three days. He also has serums, and cooling pads (pictured) to soothe irritation, razor bumps and ingrown hairs from shaving the bikini area. The cream is so safe and gentle that Dr. Blatt’s employees even use Private Rx for soft, smooth hands! Private Rx is available at CVS, Winn-Dixie and other stores. PrivateRx.com

drmd01-01com-dr-marder-total-relief-conditionerDR. MARDER SKINCARE: has created a new Total Relief Shampoo and Conditioner to help scalp conditions like breakouts, itching, flaking, dandruff — even hair loss! Shampoos and conditioners already exist but they are available by prescription for $300, even $700. Insurance may not cover the costs. Dr. Marder was used to hearing back from patients that they could not buy the prescribed products. It took Dr. Marder, a dermatologist in Palm Beach Florida, five years to create the formula that solved hair and scalp problems. The key ingredient is 1% hydrocortisone, what one normally finds in a tube to heal skin irritation issues. The conditioner contains Zinc Pyrithyone. Ingredients also include green tea extract, caffeine, resveratrol, coconut oil and vitamins A, C and D. Dr. Marder says the products can be used everyday. Dr. Marder Skincare can be found online at Amazon, DermStore, Target and Jet. These products are gentle even for people with curly and kinky hair who suffer from irritation due to straightening chemicals and hair loss due to tight weaves and braids. The line was featured in the September 2016 Cocotique beauty box. Dr. Marder guarantees hair will grow! DrMarderSkinCare.com

par01-03com-parodi-smoothing-exfoliant-for-feetPARODI PROFESSIONAL SKINCARE: skincare line, once only in salons and spas, is now available for consumers. CEO Linda Gillette Parodi is a hairdresser who noticed that hairstylists’ hands take a punishment all day. Beauticians’ hands suffer from exposure to harsh ingredients in perms, hair color, bleach and peroxides, heat, gloves and other irritants — but water is probably the worst! For a year, Parodi worked with fellow hairdressers in Paris and Chicago to find the right formulation that helped their problems. Parodi’s hand line comes in both Daily and Intensive Moisturizing creams. She also has a line for foot care: a smoothing foot exfoliant — yes, a foot exfoliant — a stimulating and refreshing product that helps reduce callouses and softens skin; and a nourishing foot cream. Parodi skincare line contains no synthetic fragrance, no parabens and silicones. Core ingredients include Mother of Pearl, St. John’s Wort and Evening Primrose Oil. ParodiCare.com @ParodiCares
