The Makeup Show is back and better than ever! In early May, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, 3000 professionals in the cosmetics industry roamed New York City’s Metropolitan Pavilion! More than 70 makeup and beauty vendors showed off their wonderful products. It was great to be able to interact with the brand owners and sample in person.
The Makeup Show is the must–go event for professionals and is one of the largest professional makeup events in the United States. Over the past 17 years, each show has brought together industry pros from all over the world to learn techniques from master artists, mingle with peers and shop their favorite brands.
The goal of the events is to inspire, educate and build a community of professionals at all levels of their career. It’s at these shows where they can find mentors, exchange ideas and learn about new trends and buy products to for their kits. The brands that exhibit are diverse, from large to small, indies to prestige and professional-only products.
There were also six stages with demonstrations by major industry stars including my friend Danessa Myricks! Also presenting were Bobbi Brown, Dick Page, Nicky Posley, Peter Phung, Linda Hallberg, Andy Alexis, Luis Torres and Cristelle Ewa.
The anticipation was intense. I was so excited! It’s been two years since New York City hosted The Makeup Show. But in early May, beauty and cosmetics industry professionals (3000 of them!) gathered at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea over two days.
They were able to become familiar with amazing brands including Jones Road Beauty by Bobbi Brown, MYKITCO, Alcone, Omnia, Suva Beauty, Danessa Myricks Beauty, LimeLife by Alcone and Eldora Lashe.
The Makeup Show is one of the largest professional makeup events in the United States. There were two days of networking opportunities, demonstrations on new and advanced makeup techniques and seminars by top experts in the industry.
