I walked the Tressemmé red carpet to attend the Studio 189 collection by Abrima Erwiah and Rosario Dawson for September New York Fashion Week. Making a grand entrance!
These are some of the Ghanian women who make the Studio 189 collection, by hand. #Studiooneeightynine was co-founded by Abrima Erwiah and Rosario Dawson. Their designs are made by these women, with cotton grown in Ghana and Burkina Faso, silk from Italy and other natural materials and plant dyes.
There was joyous dancing throughout the show.
I’m not the only one to embrace the sheer and beaded look of 2023. It was everywhere, including among people attending the Studio 189 show. This is starting to get me in the Holiday mood. End year parties will be here in no time… be festive as long as the weather allows!
