What a wonderful night on Broadway watching A Wonderful World!

I hope that people have not forgotten the great talented Louis Armstrong! Run to Studio 54 and see this amazing musical! The most memorable phenomenal, magnificent, superb, breathtaking piece of history on the stage!

Here I am at Studio 54 — my old stomping grounds, a former disco! — absolutely blown away! The understudy playing Satchmo was PHENOMENAL! All of the wardrobe from the era was on point: the dresses worn with stockings, the shoes, lipstick, makeup, and the hair in finger waves. The looks are a part of our history history that has just vanished. What a way to reintroduce Louis Armstrong to current day audiences.

Bravo to all involved, from Vanessa Williams being one of the producers to the AMAZING actors to orchestra arrangements by Branford Marsalis!

It was Historic. From New Orleans to Corona, Queens. It was a journey through the life of Louis Armstrong, such an iconic phenomenal talent who came before Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Dizzy Gillespie, so Louis is the father of jazz. I still remember my father back in the 1960s with a big cigar sitting in the backyard listening to Louis Armstrong. He called Louis by his nickname, Satchmo.

The show was like a speeding train ride through time. Tighten your seatbelts!
