Where will you go? Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida is celebrating its tenth year. I recently went back to visit and it was as wonderful a stay as always! Margaritaville hotels across the US and the Caribbean have a theme based on songs by singer Jimmy Buffet. As you can expect, the resort’s spa services have Jimmy Buffet themes, too (anyone up for a “Lost Shaker of Salt Scrub”?). I grew up in the Miami area and I love using Margaritaville as my “home base” when I visit family and lifelong friends.

My family came to Florida from the Bahamas. I was born and raised in Miami, a tall lanky Junior Olympian who excelled in sports including track and field (I was invited to the Olympic trials for the high jump). When I went away to Texas on an athletic scholarship, I left all of my family at the other end of the country. I’ve been based in New York for decades, but Miami area is still my home. Now, when I go back home, whether for weddings or school reunions or for business, I stay at Margaritaville Resort in Hollywood Beach. I appreciate the good food, soothing treatments at its St. Somewhere Spa, and overall great hospitality. Still a wonderful place to stay and relax.
In April 2016 I toured Margaritaville’s St. Somewhere Spa at the then–brand new resort. Been back many times! I’ve written about the resort and the spa in many posts over the years. The full–service St. Somewhere Spa is a great experience from massages to facials to mani–pedis.

Since my first visit, Margaritaville Resorts have expanded to more than a dozen properties across the country and the Caribbean. But the Hollywood Beach location is still enjoyable; it’s better than ever!
